Radar – Adopted

Radar made it safe and sound.  He seems to be quite terrified when he arrived.  He struggled in the bath, and then once he realized that it felt good, he gave in to the affection of humans.  He is very energetic, and sweet.  He listens quite well and seems very willing to please.  He would learn anything you wanted very quickly.  He would prefer a home with no children as fast movements scare Mr. Radar.

RadarIt looks as though once upon a time Radar must have caught one of his toes in something and dislocated it as it sticks up compared to his other toes.  It is not painful to him and he gets along like any other dog. Radar’s adoption fee is $395, he will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and flea treated.

Phillip the Second – Adopted

My name is Phillip.  I used to be a prince.  Then one day I found myself on the streets of California.  Eating garbage – how horrible.  Running from other dogs. and getting chased away by what I though were my friends – people.  I didn’t know who to trust anymore.

Phillip the second

I ended up in a shelter and nobody wanted me.  I got lucky and got to come to Vancouver to find my forever family.  I am under a year old, and nobody know what breed I am, they just call me cute.

I was very scared of all the new people here, and would run away fron them in the yard.  I was thinking that bad things would happen if they caught me.   But after a couple of weeks I got used to this, and I kinda liked getting petted and cuddles. I will make my new family very happy.

My adoption fee is $395, I have been fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and flea treated.

New Dogs needing foster & Forever homes

TurnoutLittle Fella

Turnout Male Chi Cross                                        Little Fella Male Chi Cross

This group of dogs have not arrived yet, their flight is booked for November 28th.  We are currently seeking foster homes for them prior to when they arrive.  They would love to have a warm safe loving home to hang out in while they wait for their forever families.

Fostering is a great way to give back, we need dedicated, compassionate, and somewhat dog experienced foster homes who will not give up so easily on theses deserving souls.

If you have room in your hearts and homes, please contact us for a foster application at fosterdmrs@yahoo.ca

Thank You!

Boots – Adopted

Boots is a sweet girl, she is about a year old.  She also was very scared when she arrived.  She is not so good on leash right now cause the world is so scary.  Even when cars drive by she hits the pavement and flattens out.  Boots will need a very patient, loving family, who will not only teach her that the world is an ok place to be in, but who will also train her with gentle correction and positive reinforcement.

Boots the second

Boots gets along well with the other dogs, and does tell them to leave her alone when they get to pestering her.  She is fine with cats and would be good with older respectful children.

We have no idea what mix of breeds she is, so her new family will have to love her just the way she is.  She is very affectionate, and listens well, she also is very willing to please.  Her adoption fee will be $395 and she will be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated.

Petunia Long Stems – Adopted

Petunia Long Stems is 10 months old – supposedly a Poodle Shihtzu Cross….with really long legs and a slender body.  She is very playful as puppies are, and is still learning her manners.  She walks well on leash, and gets along with other dogs.  She has been in foster care for some time now and has bloomed into a nice young lady.  Finally a better photo of her, thanks Sally!

Petunia 004

She is a breed that will also require regular grooming and daily brushings. As her hair does grow longer that seen in these photos.  She is fine with children, but gets really excited if kids around her are excited too!

Petunia Long Stems has just been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and tattooed. Her adoption fee is $395. You can email us at dhanametta@yahoo.ca for an adoption application, home visits are required.

Bella – Adopted

Bella is a young lab x.  She has a great personality.  Everyone loves her.  She needs exercise and more so, play time.  She just loves to play, play, play.  She is crate trained, and out of the crate she lays quietly for long periods of time.  At night she lays on the carpet the bed only crying when she needs to go out.  Great with people, and other dogs.  Walks nicely on a halti.  She would do better in a home with older children only because of her still very puppy ways.

Bella 6Bella would love to be in a home with another dog of equal size to play with. Bella is spayed, tattooed, dewormed, vaccinated and flea treated.

Bella 7Bella’s adoption fee will be $295. An adoption application and home visit are required.

Nellie – Adopted

I got to come with all those little dogs to Canada. It was fun. I got here and played in the yard. All my little pals were having fun too.

I am a Staffordshire Terrier cross, I weigh 34 pounds, and about 1.5 years old.

I am short and stocky but BEAUTIFUL!  I love people, dogs, kids too! I haven’t met a cat here yet, so maybe I would like them too.

I love to play. I can be a little mouthy when I get over excited, and haven’t had much of a chance to learn what humans like or don’t like. I tend to jump up also when I get excited to see someone! I love balls, balls are fun.

Nelli and Elton

I am a good girl and am very affectionate. I love to cuddle. I am in a foster home right now so I am sure I will get to learn my manners before I find my forever home, or maybe someone out there will take me home and love me enough to teach me all the ins and outs of being part of a family.

Nellie

My adoption fee is $395, and adoption application and home visit does apply. I have been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated.

Elton- ADOPTED

Elton made it to Canada and is hanging out with all the other furkids.  He is about 12 lbs, with a fancy underbite.  Hence our breed guess.  He is playful and energetic.  He gets along well with the other dogs, with the occasional dominance challenge with the other boys here.  Once corrected he listens right away.

Elton

He is very good in his crate, and likes to play with his toys.  We have not tested him with kids or cats yet. He really does love human affection and attention.  He comes when called and would love to be in a forever home.

Elton Alisha and Afina

His adoption fee is $395.  An adoption application and home visit apply.

Chica – adopted

I made it to Canada with my friends, and it is kinda cold here but I love it.  I get to play with all the other dogs and run around like crazy!  I am a MinPin Chihuahua Cross, I weigh about 8 lbs, and am about a year old.

I get tons of food and water and it is so great.  I am however, missing having my own human to cuddle with and be with.

Chica

I love to run and play, and am very good with the other dogs.  I haven’t been tested with cats, but most of them are so much bigger than I am that they could beat me up.

My adoption fee is $395, and adoption application and home visit is required.

Alisha – adopted

Alisha is a 9 month old chihuahua cross.  She got to come to Vancouver at the last minute with the rest of the deserving dogs that needed out of a high kill shelter in California.

Alisha

She is desperate for attention and loves human interaction.  She plays well with the other dogs, and is confident enough to be in a home with older children.  We do not know how she is with cats as she has not been tested with any.Alisha

Her adoption fee is $395 – an adoption application and home visit does apply.

Please email us at adoptionsdmrs@yahoo.ca for an application.
