Rosie (formerly known as Lexi) – Adopted!

Rose is a beautiful young mixed breed of unknown origin.  She is very friendly, loves to play, loves cats and kids, and gets along well with dogs. Rose has been in the rescue since September of 2009. We can’t understand why she hasn’t been adopted yet, as she is one of the easiest dogs one could ever ask for.

Rose

She has been very well trained. Her basic commands are perfect. She knows how to sit, stay, come, leave it and she is housebroken too. However, after being in so many different foster homes, she has developed a bit of fear. Fear of being hit it seems, and to be honest I have no idea what was happening in all the homes she has been in so far. But one interesting thing is that we have discovered that Rose is very good with chickens too!

We are not going to be allowing Rose to go to anymore foster homes, nor will she be going on anymore foster to adopt situations either. It seems that this is causing her a great deal of confusion, and it is not fair to her. The next home that is interested in her, is going to have to love her for who she is, just the way she is…..take it or leave it.

Rose formerly known as Lexi

Rose looks much bigger in these photos, but she is very small. She is 13lbs of love. Any family who adopts her will be very lucky to have such an easy going dog in their lives.

Rose has been spayed, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated. Her adoption fee is $395.
An adoption application and home visit does apply. To request an adoption application, please email us at adoptionsdmrs@yahoo.ca

Patrick – Adopted

Patrick is a young boy, maybe just over a year old.  We think he might be a Basenji x Italian Greyhound.  He is sweet, affectionate, and likes children too.  He has been with us since November.  He went into foster care, however, he did not get a chance to learn how to be a well balanced dog there.  He has returned to the rescue facility, and is doing pretty good.  He gets along with all the dogs here, and likes to play with them, but still has issues when on leash with dogs outside of his pack.  He comes when called, and is still learning his basic commands.  Patrick should be in a no cat household (unless your cat is like ours – almost like a dog).

Patrick

Patrick does still get defensive when he meets new dogs on leash.  He will bark at them and it is hard to get his attention off them to be able to give him some positive reinforcement.  Patrick is super smart, and is a fast learner.  He is very willing to please, makes great eye contact, and just loves people.  He needs a home that is prepared to deal with his issues and continue to teach him how to be well balanced in the doggie community, and give him a good balance of training, consistency, and love.

Patrick

Patrick has been neutered, tattooed, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated. His adoption fee is $395. Please email us for an adoption application at adoptionsdmrs@yahoo.ca, home visits are also required.

Pipa (aka Luna) – adopted

Pipa is a sweet young dog about 2 years old weighing in at 8 lbs. She is a chihuahua cross with something that has an underbite and crooked little legs  LOL. She was a stray that never found her home or her home never found her. It is obvious that she has been a momma in the past, but no more puppies for Pipa.

Pipa

She is great with other dogs, cats and older respectul children.  She is very playful and affectionate.  Is almost 100% house trained with a few accidents here and there.  Her foster mom has been working hard to teach her all the things a little lady should know.

Even though she ain’t beautiful on the outside, her inner beauty makes her a great forever companion…please give her a chance.

Pipa 2

Pipa has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated. Her adoption fee is $395. An adoption application and home visit is required. You can email us at adoptionsdmrs@yahoo.ca to request an application.
