Papaya the Chihuahua – Adopted

Papaya came to us on Tuesday the 22nd of June.  Funny how I was not going to take any newbies in until August, then I just happened to be in the area of Squamish, just when this one needed out asap.  Her teeth are almost immaculate…..making me think she is about 8 yrs old. She lost her eye in a dog attack, but she gets around just fine.  Up and down stairs, and loves to be out in the yard.

Papaya

She has been a perfect little lady with all the other dogs, and Bob the cat.  It is time for this little one to find a forever home that won’t ditch her just cause she is too old to have any more puppies.  It is so sad that humans think that a life is so disposable.  Breed them, bring in the money, then ditch em.  What ever happened to compassion, empathy and love?

Papaya is spayed, UTD on Vaccines, Wormed, flea treated and will be microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $195.00

As always an adoption application and home visit is required.  Please email us at adoptionsdmrs@yahoo.ca to request an application to be sent to you via email.  Thank You.

JoJo (aka Joey) The Mini Doxie – Adopted

Joey is a young neutered male Dachshund with a lot of spunk. He’s from up north, so he really loves to lounge around in the heat. He’s often found sitting next to the heating vents, lounging in the sun, or curling up in your spot on the couch when you stand up. He’s a kind of nervous temperament, but is good on walks in the neighbourhood and doesn’t usually get spooked, even by heavy traffic. He’s friendly with adults, children, and dogs, but definitely prefers the company of women as he does seem nervous around some men (especially dads and men who smoke).

He’s also pretty rowdy and jumpy when he plays, so he’s probably best suited to a female household that doesn’t have little ones. He’s been seen to chase some cats and greet others calmly, but is always very friendly with other dogs, even when they aren’t friendly to him. He’s crazy about chew bones and licking his humans. He’s crate trained, but does need the occasional reminder. He loves walks, and does need some leash training, but he also loves to curl up on the couch and snuggle.
