BUG – Adopted

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INTEREST IN BUG.  AND TO ALL WHO SENT IN AN APPLICATION FOR HER.  WE WANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF OUR GREAT FOSTER TEAM HAS DECIDED TO ADOPT BUG, AND SHE NOW HAS A WONDERFUL HOME.  OUR FOSTERS HAVE FIRST CHOICE WHEN WANTING TO ADOPT AS LONG AS WE FEEL THE FIT IS RIGHT, AND THIS TIME IT WAS.

I KNOW THAT ALOT OF YOU OUT THERE WILL BE DISAPPOINTED TO HEAR THE NEWS, BUT PLEASE THINK ABOUT ADOPTING POSSIBLY ANOTHER ONE OF OUR AWESOME DOGS….THEY ALL DESERVE GREAT HOMES.

We named her Bug, even though we are still tossing around names for this cute little thing…..She is 4 months old.  And really smart.

BUG

WORDS FROM FOSTER MOMMY:
Ok, so she already will sit to get her food. Took me two meals only to get her to. She navigated the 13 step staircase like nothing, they didnt phase her at all (not like the other 3 pups that have been in my house in the last year), she’s learned that if she climbs up the blanket she can get onto the couch(this was IMMEDIATE), and when we went outside she stood and watched the other 2 dogs go pee and was like “OOOOOOH, ok” and went too. She’s only peed in the house once. hmmm…And thank god, she doesn’t mind the rain.

Plus when she started climbing my leg this morning to be picked up and I said “Off.” she got off and sat down….

BUG is ready for her new home.  Her adoption fee is $495.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, chipped, wormed and de-flead.

With as many votes as we can get, we have the chance of winning $10,000.  With this we could build our new facility for the dogs where adopters can come and meet everyone.

With your help and support we have been able to rescue and find wonderful homes for over 300 dogs in the last 2 1/2 years, not to mention the cats and kittens too.  We have been able to provide the best health care to the ones that need it most, those with broken legs, liver shunts, heart problems, blindness, and much more.

B-Boy Update

Today I received some sad news.  Our sweet little B-Boy had passed away in his sleep.  My eyes well up with tears as I write this.  He was always such a happy little soul.  Humans could learn so much from B, despite his challenge, he never ceased to amaze us…always happy.

B-Boy came into our rescue a few years ago.  He was 7 months old.  His owners had finally decided to surrender him, after keeping him from 6 weeks old, paralyzed in the hind legs.  They never did any xrays, or diagnostics.  They just decided to leave him be…and after realizing that it was just too much for them, they ditched him.

When I saw him, I loved him.  He was so happy so sweet.  He would motor around dragging his legs behind him and didn’t have a care in the world.

Michiko and Seigo provided such a wonderful foster home for B.  Michiko thank you for being so kind.  Sean and Serena I send you my love…you were such awesome doggie parents to B-Boy.  You gave him so much and I have to thank you for loving him just the way he was

Ola Yuana,
We are very sorry to say that yours and our weee B-boy passed away on thursday evening. He was in his sleep with no sign or symptoms of anything that could have been wrong… We know how much he means to everyone and how sad this is for all. B-boy was happy in life and must be happy today as his spirits were always high. He traded in his wheels for wings and is still the best little thing ever. Thank you for bringing him into our lives as we and soo many learned so much from the wee trooper.
Rest in peace B…
In time we want to still be a two dog family as Pedro loves the company and is missing his buddy B… Are any of your dogs posted on DMRS still in need of a loving home?
Again we are so sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news but we had to tell the person who truely did save him, you.
