Kimba – adopted

Kimba is a sweet 2 year old chihuahua cross who came to us from a high kill shelter in California. She is great with other dogs and cats.  She is mellow and house broken too.  She is very obedient and would make a family very lucky.

Kimba

Kimba came to us in November.  Her spay was booked with the vet, but during the waiting period she began putting on the pounds.  She was vomiting, but eating tons of food.  Her foster mom was worried and we decided to take Kimba to a vet to see what could be the problem.  The vet we took her to on a Sunday thought she might have pyometra, xrays were taken and he could see no puppies….so we thought the worst.  We decided to get a second opinion the next day and the vet we use on a regular basis thought she was pregnant. Even though nothing could be seen in the xrays, he could feel the puppies.  He was certain that she did not have pyometra.  So we waited a couple more weeks so we could get more xrays taken, but Kimba decided to have puppies before that happened.

Kimba

All of Kimba’s puppies have found their forever homes, but Kimba is still waiting for someone to love her and call her their own.  Kimba’s adoption fee is $395.  She will be spayed, chipped, she is fully vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated.

Please email us at adoptionsdmrs@yahoo.ca for an adoption application, home visits are required.

June – adopted

June is about 1 year old, mix of some sort.  Weighing in at about 15lbs.  My guess is a JRT Doxie mix.  Brindle beautiful.  June loves attention, jumps up in our lap for hugs. Comes when she is called, is house broken, great with older kids, with most  dogs, but we don’t know about cats yet.

Brindle June

WORDS FROM FOSTER MOM:

She is very smart and willing to please.  She loves everyone.  I must watch her and my young son when they are playing together because June does not like to be teased.  She only touches and plays with the toys we introduced to her, never touching my 4 years old’s toys or our other household items.  She respects the 2 budgies and likes to sit next to them.

She seldom barks unless she really wants to get the message across. She is fully house trained, loves learning new tricks.
She is a very very fast runner.  Her agility skills are very competitive.
June is high energy, so needs a family that can provide her with the stimulation she needs to be a well balanced young lady.

June’s adoption fee is $295.  Her former foster parents have donated towards Junes expenses. Thank you Elsa for being so generous.  June has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped.  An adoption application and home visit is required.  You can email us at adoptionsdmrs@yahoo.ca for an application.
