Forever Homes

Please remember that to adopt a dog from Dhana Metta you must first complete an adoption application.  Once your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit with you.  Sometimes the home visits are done by volunteers, so even if your home visit is approved, you still may not be suitable for the specific dog you were interested in.  We try to be sure that we match the right dog to the right family, as a home is forever.

Just a quick thank you for my very special friend,Echo. She likes the snow better than I do and takes off down the side yard sniffing every kitty footprint. She is a joy, a pest, a cuddle-puppy and a begger of treats…….and I cant imagine being without her!

    HI Barbara

I am so glad there are people like you in the world who accepts a dog no matter how old, how pesty, and how much time is left with them.

You are a very special person. And Echo is so lucky to have found you – and yes I agree, she was a joy, a cuddler, a food whore, and occasionally a pest.

she still chases the cats…not far..just ‘moves’ at them so they will run and I feel bnadly because they want so much to be her friend.Rudy even sneaks over when she is asleep in her bed to peek at her while I hold my breath!….It takes time and that is the only ‘pesky’ thing she does….and my human family loves her!

    Hi Yuana,

I adopted a Corgi x Scotti puppy from you a 1 1/2yrs ago and she’s been an perfect addition to my life… her name is Maddy. Looking back now I wish I had the opportunity to adopt two of these wonderful dogs, but Maddy was the only remaining puppy. I was wondering if by chance a pup from that litter was ever returned back to you?? Or you would have a dog/puppy of similar breeding up for adoption. I would like to get Maddy a playmate/companion.
